Winter Alert - Let's Get Ready
Washington winters can get quite cold! As always, our team will be diligently preparing our properties for the winter. As part of our preparations, we will:
1. Clean and inspect all roofs and gutters.
2. Winterize external pipes.
3. Clean up yards and trim trees as needed.
To ensure your apartment is ready for winter, please follow these guidelines:
1. Remove all window-installed AC units.
2. Promptly report any non-working heaters.
3. When the outside temperature drops below 20 degrees, keep one or two faucets slightly open and ensure water is dripping at all times. This will prevent water pipes from freezing and breaking.
4. Keep the cabinet under the kitchen sink open to allow warm air to flow around the pipes.
5. If you suspect a frozen pipe, please contact us for further instructions.
6. If you have any unresolved maintenance issues, now is a good time to let us know.
7. Remember, during winter, some properties may be harder to access, and scheduling services may take longer. Don't wait for a snowstorm or blizzard; inform us immediately if you have any maintenance requests!
